Musallah Prayer App app for iPhone and iPad

Musallah is a location based app for the Muslim community that allows users to find or create different types of locations/resources that Muslims are typically looking for.

Wouldnt life be easier if you were always aware of designated spaces (Musallahs) nearby where you could go for Salat? By “designated spaces” we are referring to rooms/areas in buildings (offices, restaurants, hospitals, universities, malls, airports, etc.) that Muslims have taken permission to use for Salat. We – the founders of Musallah – travel quite frequently at work and come to know of such prayer arrangements when we “happen” to bump into other Muslims. This information is currently not available to everyone.
Hence, we decided to build Musallah - a platform that will (In Sha Allah) make it possible to capture this information and share it with the Muslim community.
If you know of a location that can be used for Salat then just tag that location on the Musallah maps and provide any additional information that people would need to access and use that location. The location will then show up as a pin on the map for anyone who’s looking for a place to perform Salat.

Musallah can also be used in several other ways to make it easier for Muslims to find places or resources that will help them lead an Islamic life.

For example, if you are an Arabic teacher or Quran teacher, you can create an entry in the app at the address where you would provide the service. People who may be looking for an Arabic or Quran teacher will now be able to easily find you on the Musallah map.

Users will also be able to find or create entries for mosques and Islamic organizations.

Looking for halal food, halal grocery, or halal catering in the vicinity? Or facilities that allow you to perform Zabiha? Or you probably own or work at one of these businesses. With Musallah, people looking for services can now easily connect with people providing services.

The same applies to other aspects of Islamic life such as Islamic clothing and Islamic banking?

Musallah will, In Sha Allah, make it possible to capture all this information in one place and become a “Yellow Pages” for Muslims.
